Associate Vice President of Human ResourcesEmail hr@spmcf.orgCall team member at 651.325.4292“The Foundations’ mission aligns very closely with my passions. I feel very strongly that everyone has a right to be treated with dignity and respect, independent of all the ways that we are different.”
As Associate Vice President of Human Resources, Rhonda plays a critical role in creating an inclusive work environment where all employees can be their best. She leads the Human Resources department, having come to the Foundation in 2017 from Cargill, where she was a Human Resources manager.
Rhonda said her experience as a black woman working in corporate America, including SUPERVALU and Target, and experiencing inequality throughout her life, uniquely positions her to support the Foundations’ staff and the communities we serve. Having the opportunity to influence change, either internally or externally, is her favorite part of the job.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Howard University and has taken graduate courses at the University of Minnesota in Industrial Relations. Outside of work, Rhonda is the vice chair for the Hallie Q Brown Community Center Board of Directors. She is also active in the National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) - Twin Cities Chapter.
She is an avid runner and actively involved in athletic training, owning a health and wellness franchise for the past three years. Rhonda and her husband, Walter, enjoy traveling, spending time with friends and family, and playing and watching sports – especially basketball.
